Fire crews from Greenwood VFD and Vernon Central Hose Company responded to a serious accident at Routes 19 & 285 this morning. A northbound RV t-boned a Volkswagen Beetle, pinning it up against a steel power pole. Crews had to winch the vehicles apart to be able to access the person penned in the VW. One person was flown to a trauma center via helicopter and at least 1 other was transported via ambulance to Meadville Medical Center. This accident occurred just minutes after crews cleared the scene of a motorcycle crash on Snake Road that resulted in 2 injuries. Ambulance crews from Cochranton VFD and Conneaut Lake Area Ambulance Service also responded.
